What does your company produce? The Emergency Department of MTMC is a 33-bed facility providing emergency care to the citizens of Rutherford and surrounding counties. Our staff of physicians, physician assistants, nurses, technicians, clerical and support associates total more than 100 employees.
What is your basic business philosophy? In an ever changing and demanding health care environment, we must provide quality and compassionate care each day. We will plan ahead for the needs of our patients both today and tomorrow to ensure we are providing the most modern care available. We are here each and every day for our patients, and in all we do we will place our patients first.
Give us a sales pitch in 25 words or less: Life happens, sometimes expected and sometimes unexpected, but for all times you can know that at MTMC’s Emergency Department, we’re here for life.
What is your proudest business achievement? Personally, each healed patient and each life saved is a proud achievement for our team. Over the past year, I have been proud to be a part of Middle Tennessee Medical Center and most proud to be a part of a family of dedicated healthcare professionals working in our Emergency Department. Each day is filled with stories of amazement for the heart our staff pour into their work.
What led you to Murfreesboro? I relocated to Murfreesboro last year for the opportunity to manage the Emergency Department of MTMC. I have had an interest in the growth and beauty of the Middle Tennessee region for sometime, and luckily both came together in 2008.
What is your educational background? I graduated from nursing school at The University of North Alabama located in Florence, Ala.
Where are you originally from? Hometown is Florence, Ala.
What do you do for fun? Love to spend time outdoors, mainly hunting and fishing.
Tell us about your family: I am the youngest of four brothers and was definitely picked on growing up.
Who was your mentor? My best friend and mentor was my father.
What is the most important thing going on now at your operation? Each and every patient who enters the front doors of MTMC’s Emergency Department is the most important thing going on in our operation now and tomorrow.
